Size & Drape Guide
A Ponnadhar saree is 5.5 metres as a drape — 6.3 metres including the unstitched blouse piece. The drape itself is Free Size; it adapts to every body. The blouse piece ships unstitched so your tailor can cut it to your exact measure.
Saree length
- Drape: 5.5 m — standard for most draping styles (Nivi, Bengali, Atpoure).
- Blouse piece: 0.8 m of matching raw fabric, unstitched, included with every saree.
- Total fabric: 6.3 m.
Blouse size chart
Measure your bust at the fullest point, tape level at the back. Hand the unstitched piece and this measurement to your tailor.

Some sarees also ship as Unstitched sets (saree + unstitched blouse yardage, no pre-draped length) — size noted on the product page.
Care notes
- Silks (Kanjivaram, Banarasi, Mysore, Tussar): dry clean only. Store folded in muslin; refold every few months to avoid crease fatigue along the zari.
- Cotton handlooms (Jamdani, Chanderi cotton, Tant): cold hand-wash separately the first three washes to release excess dye. Shade dry. Iron on the reverse.
- Organza, chiffon, georgette: dry clean preferred. If hand-washing, use a mild detergent and never wring — roll in a towel to drain.
